In receiving
initiation into the Usui System of Natural Healing, we are joining a
long line of serious practitioners who have validated hands on healing
for self-evolution and relieving the suffering of others. Each
master will structure h/her class to suit their teaching methods.
Even so, the URF requires that all members incorporate
the following criterion when teaching the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho
system of natural healing.
Please Note: We have gone
to great lengths to reincorporate the techniques originally taught by
Dr. Mikao Usui. Thus bringing our method as close to the original Usui
Reiki Ryoho system as possible. Nonetheless, this is an ongoing
process, and the information below may change from time-to-time.

Shoden or Beginning Level
The first level of
Reiki is primarily for the self. It is an experimental journey into
awareness of the world of energy, both internal and external. The
objective is to discover ways in which the student can clear their
personal vessel and become a clear and open channel for the universal
life force energy flow through them. This journey begins by being
opened to the flow of this energy through the initiation or attunement
process. The Reiki I training consists of:
-
The history of
Reiki (a verbal introduction giving the history of Reiki methods
and practices).
-
What Reiki is
and how it works.
-
The five ethical principles
of Reiki.
-
The Reiki I
attunements (traditionally there are four, although some masters
may give two or even just one).
-
Demonstration
and practice time to give complete Reiki treatments to others and
oneself:
-
self treatment
(full treatment)
-
treatment of
others (full treatment)
-
treatment of
others (short treatment)
-
treatment of
injury and what to do in emergencies
-
information on
how to treat animals, plants, and your environment
-
Japanese Reiki
techniques:
-
Gassho
meditation
-
Joshin Kokyuu-Ho
-
Reiji
-
Kenyoku
-
Byosen
Scanning
-
Additional
exercises or meditations, at the discretion of the teacher.
-
Questions,
answers, and sharing.
The class is a
combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Practice time
includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the
hand positions, the self -treatment, and practice using all the Japanese
Reiki Techniques mentioned above.
While practice
takes place during the class, it is expected that you will set aside
additional time to practice after the class is over. Please commit to
this additional time which should be one evening a week for several
weeks, or its equivalent, to practice Reiki with one, or more, people
from your Reiki class or with members of your family or friends. This
additional practice is necessary to gain the experience and confidence
you need to fully utilize the Reiki training.

Okuden or Inner Teaching
After the integration period of 21 days
that follows the first degree initiations students have usually decided
whether they wish to continue to gain more skills and understanding in
Reiki. In traditional Reiki a period of three months is required before
the student is able to continue onto second degree. This is to allow
all the changes that take place in the student's field after the first
level time to rebalance and be fully integrated. However, we are all
different and this period is, therefore, merely a guideline. Normally,
the student and master will determine the correct time to move on to the
second degree level. The Reiki II training consists of:
-
A description of
all symbols (or "Golden Keys"), including how to draw them,
what they mean, and how to use them.
-
The Reiki II
attunement.
-
Practice time in
class to use the symbols.
-

-
Enkaku chiryo
-
Koki-Ho
-
Shu chu Reiki

Questions and
sharing.

Shinpiden or Mastery Teaching
The mastery teaching is designed for
those people who wish to fully embrace the principles of Reiki into
their lives, and teach others these principles.
Becoming a Reiki
Master is a serious step that requires definite preparation. There are
certain criteria that a student will have to fulfill in order to
participate in the master training. These criteria differ depending on
which master you choose, but essentially follow similar guidelines. The
Utah Reiki Foundation looks for people who have the attributes to make a
sympathetic teacher and have embraced the principles of the teachings
into their own life. They should have a good understanding of Reiki,
practice regularly, and posses the courage and eagerness to continue
growing.
At this level, the
student teacher relationship becomes very close. Often the student will
work alongside the master on a one-to-one basis for a year or more,
providing the perfect opportunity to learn the skills necessary to work
with groups and pass on the teachings. The Reiki 3B training consists
of:
-
A talk about
what it means to be a Reiki master including the responsibilities
involved.
-
The Reiki 3B
master teacher attunement.
-
Demonstrations
that carefully show how attunements for each Reiki level are given.
-
Practice time in
class giving each of the attunements.
-
Discussion on
what subjects to teach and time answering questions.
-
Additional
exercises, techniques, and meditations, at the teacher's discretion.
-
Questions and
sharing.
-
Prerequisite: ART and acceptance for training by the Master
Teacher.
- Cost:
$2500 - Payment options are available.
-
Deposit: $1250 non-refundable deposit with registration.
-
Registration: Advanced Registration is required either by
telephone or email.
Note:
Deposit is deducted from the original cost of the class. |
